So focus on God, no matter how chaotic the world gets. No matter how intense the hatred and division become. No matter how loud the storm rages. Our God can calm any storm, and one day He will calm this one too. There’s nothing to worry about!

Previous End Times Post

Hello Readers, hope all’s well. For this Monday I have another End Times post. But I had to deal with horrible technical difficulties while writing this (my main computer is broken), which took up a lot of my time and energy. So today’s post is a little shorter than usual. But hey, short posts are good too. They’re nice for a change.

Today’s post is about staying focused on God while the world gets even more chaotic. When people are deceived into hating each other, we need to stay out of that, focusing on God and His commandments. We need to stay focused on God, no matter how chaotic it gets.

We Were Warned

There’s so much anger and division today, all around the world. People are furious. They hate each other, due to ridiculous divisions they see and focus on which aren’t even real. They’re being deceived by Satan into one of the worst violations of God’s commandments that they can commit: They’re being deceived into hating their neighbor.

I’ve written about this topic before, in Part 13 and in Part 28. I said that the idea of more civil wars (because there’s not only talk of this in the U.S., but in other countries as well) is exactly what Satan wants. He wants us to kill our own brothers and sisters, he wants us to hate each other.

In Part 13 I referenced Matthew 24:12, when Jesus warned us that in the final days, “the love of many will grow cold.” He warned us that people would turn to hate each other in the End Times.

(12) Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.

Matthew 24:12 (NLT)

Not only that, but when the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are described in Revelation, we learn the Second Horseman will cause division, strife, and hatred. Could it be that the Second Horseman is already here, already active? Are we further along in the Tribulations than we suspect?

(3) When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” (4) Out came another horse, fiery red. Its rider was allowed to take peace from the earth so that people would kill each other. He was given a large sword.

Revelation 6:3-4 (CEB) (Emphasis mine)

So we know from Scripture that there will be intense and bloody division and hatred in the final days. When we look at the world around us, we see that the hatred is here. It’s everywhere.

Or at least, that’s how it looks. The media does choose to focus on incidents of hatred, division, and fighting, so the picture we see isn’t 100% accurate. It doesn’t perfectly reflect the reality of our world. As in, there is more togetherness than we’re led to believe by the media. I know that based on … my own life experience. When I go out, I don’t see the division and strife. I see people being in harmony with each other, as usual. There is one little caveat here though: I don’t travel to the U.S.! Hahaha!

But anyway, the point is that the picture presented by the media isn’t the whole story; in other words, it’s not accurate. Oh, I don’t doubt for a second that the events we see are real. I know they are. But I’m saying the media shows you those events, but not the part of the story with people being together and being good to each other. So don’t put too much stock in what you see, especially in the media. That’s some wisdom I’m sure you know already.

Stay Calm and Focus on the LORD

Now, we all know that we must avoid taking part in the demonic divisions of the End Times. We can’t play along with that. We have to love our neighbor, no matter our differences. In fact we have to love those most different from us. Because that’s more difficult than loving those whom we already like.

Jesus told us not to let our love grow cold. We’re tempted to do so, these days. We’re tempted by the devil to play along with the division of agenda. An agenda of divide-and-conquer, pushed on us by the ruler of this world, Satan. But we have to continue loving our neighbor, and our “enemies” too.

(43) “You have heard that it was said, You must love your neighbor and hate your enemy. (44) But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who harass you

Matthew 5:43-44 (CEB)

That’s what Jesus commanded us to do. It’s not easy, in fact it’s incredibly difficult. But we have to do it, all the way to the very End. By the way, I put “enemies” in quotes up above because we really only have one enemy: Satan. Everyone who we consider an enemy, because of their actions or what they say, is not really our true target. Satan, he’s the one who’s really behind all our woes.

I’ve written about this before too, in Part 16. Check out that post for more.

So we can’t play along with the division. But it’s shoved in our face, it seems like it’s everywhere. So what do we do?

Easy: We stay focused on God. God is the one Who’s in control. It’s all in God’s hands. And one day soon, God will bring all the problems we see, including all this hatred, to a good resolution. The Book of Amos, and other books in the Bible, show us that God does not tolerate injustice forever. One day, He will intervene and end it like He has done many times before.

The hatred, the division, these are distractions and demonic deceptions. Yes it’s real, but the devil wants us to focus on the hatred instead of God. Focus on God! He is all that matters, and He does not want us to play along with the division and hatred. He wants us to stay focused on Him and to obey His commandments. Stay focused! Focused on the LORD! That’s how we can weather this storm and not get dragged into it, getting swept away in the rising tide of demonic hatred.

We know that our God is coming, so we need not fear. We need not despair either, even with all the hatred in the world. Don’t worry, our God is coming. I wrote about this recently, in Part 41.

So focus on God, no matter how chaotic the world gets. No matter how intense the hatred and division become. No matter how loud the storm rages. Our God can calm any storm, and one day He will calm this one too. There’s nothing to worry about!

Our LORD will calm the storm. There are many Scripture passages about Him doing that. I’ll mention two below. Take comfort in the knowledge that our God can and will calm any storm, when it’s time. That includes this storm of hatred.

(8) Who is like you, LORD God of heavenly forces?
Mighty LORD, your faithfulness surrounds you!
(9) You rule over the surging sea:
When its waves rise up,
it’s you who makes them still.

Psalms 89:8-9 (CEB)

(39) He got up and gave orders to the wind, and he said to the lake, “Silence! Be still!” The wind settled down and there was a great calm. (40) Jesus asked them, “Why are you frightened? Don’t you have faith yet?”

No one Said it Would Be Easy

The division and hatred we see today is tragic, but inevitable. Scripture warned us many times that this is what would happen in the End Times. Now that it’s finally coming to pass, why be surprised? And why despair? This is just one more confirmation we’re in the End Times. And since we’re in the End Times, every day that goes by gets us one day closer to the return of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.

The End Times are painful, difficult, and dangerous. Scripture warned us about that too. But we have nothing to be afraid of, long-term. Our God will come, and everything we see now was already foretold by Him. He will take care of everything, injustice won’t be allowed to continue forever. And when He returns, He will create a new Heaven and a new earth, as described in Revelation 21.

So never despair, and instead, rejoice! The End of this world is the beginning of God’s new world! Every day gets us one day closer to the End. Every day gets us one day closer to God’s true vision for the world. There is nothing to fear. But that doesn’t mean it won’t be painful and chaotic until that day comes.

So when the storm is raging, and you’re tempted to fear because of all the chaos, focus on the LORD. He will calm every storm. Pray to Him to calm your heart. These End Times are painful for everyone, we all need help and strength.

Focus on the LORD, not the hatred and division. Stay calm and don’t be distracted by hatred. Focus on the LORD, the beacon of light in this raging storm.
