This is one of those things that, if people keep talking about it, it will happen. We need to talk less about having a civil war and more about how we can make peace in our society. We need to talk more about how we can restore the love and respect in our society.

Previous End Times Post

Hello Readers, hope all’s well. It’s Friday, time for a final post to wrap up the week. Today I’ll be writing briefly about the subject of a civil war, in the U.S. or elsewhere. I was inspired to write about this because of a news story I saw this morning.

The civil war. It’s a big topic. This may not be the final time I write about it. We’ll see. Anyway, let’s get right into it.

Three Men Following Satan, not God

It’s not only the U.S. that’s divided these days. Division is everywhere. But in the U.S. there’s a lot of talk about a new civil war. I first remember hearing about ‘civil war, civil war’ back in … 2018 or so. Now, in 2020, I see and hear it a lot more.

This morning I woke to see a news story that disgusted me. It’s all over the media today, but I’ll only link a story from an ABC affiliate. Three cops in North Carolina were rightfully fired for a racist rant that was accidentally recorded on video. One of these officers, Kevin Piner, said (quoting the article) “a civil war was necessary to wipe Black people off the map and that he was ready.”

Disgusting. Clearly it was the LORD who “accidentally” activated their body cameras so that conversation could be recorded. Thank God that all three of these officers are off the force, for now. Those attitudes are completely inexcusable for professionals who are supposed to be objective, since they hold a position of power.

Those attitudes are also demonic. I wrote about the demonic aspect of hatred this week, in Part 26. Here we see how indulging in hate and having hateful beliefs leads down a slippery slope of evil. This officer was talking about being excited for the civil war and “slaughtering” Black people. “Wiping them off the map,” as he put it. Vile murder. Pure evil. You can see how demonic he has become, and it’s because he entertained his hateful thoughts instead of rejecting them. One thing leads to another.

If you have hateful thoughts and don’t reject them, then you too will be lead further down the road to evil. Perhaps all the way to the murder of innocents, like where this Kevin Piner is headed. His firing is actually a gift to him from the LORD. This is actually a harsh wake-up call for him, one that will hopefully make him acknowledge the evil of his hateful beliefs. The best thing for Kevin Piner and the other officers right now is to turn to the LORD in sincere prayer. All three of those guys are filthy with demons, the demons of hatred, racism, murder, and who knows what else. (Even a desire to murder is enough to attract a demon spirit of murder into you.)

So this story ties in to the topic of how hatred is demonic. But it ties in to the talk of civil war too. And it also shows the total pointlessness of that (possibly) coming conflict, and how Satan and his demonic minions are encouraging it.

In the most Pointless Conflict ever, Everyone Is Wrong

If a civil war happens in the U.S. or anywhere else for that matter, who’s on the “right” side? No one. Everyone who participates in a civil war will be wrong. For three main reasons:

  • Christ taught us to love our enemies, bless those who persecute us, and turn the other cheek
  • Our enemies are spiritual, not physical, and so are our weapons
  • Satan wants civil wars, so participants are playing right into his hands

We’ll start with the most important: Christ’s teachings. He taught us to love our enemies and bless those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44), and to turn the other cheek (Matthew 5:39). Even when people trespass against us, we were taught not to fight back. That’s because we as Christians know our life on this world isn’t what’s important. Our true eternal life in Heaven is what’s important, and that’s what we should always be thinking about. That means showing love in response to hate (hate can’t drive out hate anyways, so the Christian way is simply smarter). We can’t just talk about the love of Christ, we have to live it too (as much as it’s possible for humans to do).

We imitate Christ as much as we possibly can while here on earth, and that means turning the other cheek. Remember Matthew 26:53; when the Romans came to arrest Jesus, He didn’t put up a fight even though He could have.

(52) Then Jesus said to him, “Put the sword back into its place. All those who use the sword will die by the sword. (53) Or do you think that I’m not able to ask my Father and he will send to me more than twelve battle groups of angels right away? (54) But if I did that, how would the scriptures be fulfilled that say this must happen?”

Matthew 26:52-54 (CEB)

Christ could have fought back, and easily won. But He didn’t. It wasn’t part of the plan, and He did that to show us. We aren’t supposed to fight either, even when the Romans come to arrest us. We need to have the courage and spiritual fortitude to copy His example.

Next, our enemies are spiritual, not physical, and so are our weapons. I wrote about this recently, in Part 20. Never forget the fundamental principle of spiritual warfare: Ephesians 6:12.

(12) We aren’t fighting against human enemies but against rulers, authorities, forces of cosmic darkness, and spiritual powers of evil in the heavens.

Ephesians 6:12 (CEB)

No matter how much “the other guys” make you angry, it doesn’t matter. They aren’t your enemies. The demons inside them, the demons inside you, and the demon ruling this world, Satan, are your only enemies.

As for our weapons, we don’t fight with fists, knives, guns, or anything physical. Our weapons are spiritual, prayer weapons.

(4) Our weapons that we fight with aren’t human, but instead they are powered by God for the destruction of fortresses. They destroy arguments, (5) and every defense that is raised up to oppose the knowledge of God. They capture every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (CEB)

Learn to use the weapons of prayer. Don’t pray against the “other guys,” whoever that is to you. That’s a waste of time. Pray against the demonic spirits that are the true cause of all problems. Read Part 20 if you need a refresher on this.

Don’t Help Satan’s Plans

Finally, as I said in Part 13 and in other blog posts, this increasing division is a part of Satan’s plan. Satan wants us to hate each other, he wants us to fight.

He wants us to get violent with those who should be our allies in the spiritual fight against him instead. He wants us get triggered into using physical force instead of the spiritual weapons we’re entitled to use as Christian believers.

A civil war, wherever it happens, can only suit Satan’s purposes. He’ll be laughing hysterically the whole time. Civil wars are vile, tragic atrocities. It’s only your own country that gets destroyed. That’s where all the fighting is contained. All that violence, death, suffering, anguish … and hate. Yes, Satan would like nothing better than for there to be a civil war. And everyone who keeps talking about it … is playing right into his hands.

This is one of those things that, if people keep talking about it, it will happen. We need to talk less about having a civil war and more about how we can make peace in our society. We need to talk more about how we can restore the love and respect in our society. If things continue the way they are, with people talking so much about the civil war and getting hyped up for it then yes, it will happen. Just as Satan planned!

“The love of many will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12) don’t let that happen to you! This is part of Satan’s plan. Don’t be one of the ‘many,’ be one of the few. Be someone who refuses to hate, who refuses to play along with Satan’s games. Be a strong Christian with the spiritual fortitude to turn the other cheek as many times as you need to.

Don’t be a weak person who gives in to their demons, who gives in to their urge to hate and fight. Don’t be one of Satan’s lackeys, fighting to advance his plans, even if you don’t think that’s what you’re doing.

Fight in the spiritual realm, using the prayer weapons we’re entitled to use as Christian believers. Pray against the true enemy—Satan! Satan and all his minions. He is our one and only enemy. The guy with different political beliefs from you is not an enemy.

Stay focused during these End Times. Don’t get triggered into acting out of anger. Don’t get deceived into attacking any target other than Satan and his demons. Make sure you pray every day. Pray for the fortitude to turn the other cheek. Pray for wisdom, to see through Satan’s many deceptions.

And when you hear people talk of civil wars, talk to them of civil peace and brotherhood. Don’t play along with Satan’s plans, don’t help his schemes. A civil war is a disastrous tragedy, motivated by evil demonic hatred like the story of the three cops illustrates.

A civil war is something so evil, only Satan could want it. And of course it’s exactly what he wants. Don’t help him get it!
