This is what happens when they attempt to curse a Virtuous man or woman under the LORD’s protection. All their evil bounces back on them.

Previous End Times Post

Hello Readers, hope all’s well. The day this post goes up will be on June 19th, which is the Juneteenth holiday. This day commemorates the true official end to slavery in the United States, when the Union army arrived in Texas (the most remote US territory at the time) on June 19, 1865, and read the federal orders freeing all slaves.

Slavery is a horrible evil and completely incompatible with true Christianity. It is right to commemorate the end of slavery in the US, and to pay respects to the victims of an abominable historical atrocity. So I support the recent suggestions to make Juneteenth a federal holiday in the US. You can read more about Juneteenth here.

Today I’m writing about witchcraft again. Specifically, I’ll be giving a brief rundown of how to defend yourself against it.

Are You under Attack?

How will you know if you’re the target of witchcraft? Usually, it won’t be obvious if you are or not. I can’t give you a neat, orderly “checklist” of “symptoms” that you can check off to figure this out. Things aren’t that simple, aren’t that predictable. You need to be in communication with God every day through prayer, and ask for wisdom on what’s bothering you. If you really are being targeted by witchcraft, the Holy Spirit will show you.

Rely on the spiritual discernment of the Holy Spirit to point this out to you. Don’t go on any (literal) witch hunts! Don’t falsely accuse anyone of witchcraft. It’s a serious allegation that you must not make lightly.

Still, although I can’t give a checklist, I’ll list a few possible symptoms of witchcraft activity in your life. You’ll notice that they’re quite like symptoms of demonic oppression. Well, that’s because witchcraft works by Satan’s power. Anyway, here it is:

  • Bad luck.” Lots of misfortunes in general. This starts up suddenly and one comes after another. Also, having lots of dangerous “near misses,” very close calls, accidents, etc.
  • Health problems. Sickness, injury, pain, indigestion, and so on.
  • Emotional problems. Excessive anger/rage, sadness/depression, shame, etc. “Blowing up” and having outbursts.
  • Relationship problems. Fighting, breakups, lying, manipulation, betrayal, temptations, etc.
  • Sexual problems. Impotence or its opposite … ‘hyper-potence?’ I don’t know if there’s a word for it, but imagine being completely insatiable. It’s up to you to decide which is worse. Also, abominable or perverse lusts.
  • Mental Problems. Temporary insanity, mania, etc.

And for a spiritual symptom, there are witchcraft dreams. What are those? Well it’s a whole different topic, best handled another time. I’ll only say one thing about it.

Do you know how people say you can’t die in your dreams? Well, you can get killed in a witchcraft dream. If you’re having dreams where people (or animals, monsters, etc.) are attacking you, chasing you, shooting at you, and successfully killing you, then these are witchcraft dreams.

Dreams of supernatural creatures like werewolves and vampires can also be witchcraft dreams. But keep in mind that your dreams are very easily influenced by the entertainment you consume, so having a dream of werewolves (etc.) isn’t a surefire diagnosis of witchcraft dreams.

Having a dream like this indicates the presence of witchcraft in your life. That could mean you’re being directly targeted by witchcraft, or maybe someone around you is engaged in it. You need to pray for the wisdom of the Holy Spirit to know what the dream means. I’m only letting you know for your knowledge. Pay attention to witchcraft dreams.

I can tell you from experience that if you get killed in a witchcraft dream, you either ‘come back to life’ immediately in the dream and the scenario repeats, or the dream ends immediately.

Now that we’ve covered some of the possible “symptoms,” let’s move on to the topic of defense.

Can Christians Be Cursed?

You’ve probably heard “Who Jah bless, no one can curse.” And do you remember when Balaam attempted to curse the Israelites in Numbers, but failed? In Numbers 23:8, he said:

(8) How can I curse

whom God hasn’t cursed?

How can I denounce

whom God hasn’t denounced?

Numbers 23:8 (CEB)

Well, some Christians have the impression that Christians can’t be cursed by witchcraft. That’s a dangerous assumption to have … because it’s not true. Yes, Christians can be affected by witchcraft. The good news is we can play defense, which I’ll describe below, but being a Christian doesn’t make us immune to witchcraft as some believe.

Is it that witchcraft is too powerful, and overcomes the LORD’s protection? No! It’s the LORD choosing not to extend His protection for one of a few reasons. We know this because in the opening chapters of the Book of Job, we see God grant Satan permission to torment Job and ruin his life. Satan kills Job’s children, destroys his lands, inflicts horrible diseases on him, and so on. But Satan couldn’t act against Job without God’s permission. Nothing ever happens in this world without God either allowing it or causing it Himself. Remember that.

So why would God withdraw his protection? There are a few possible reasons:

1.) The witchcraft target doesn’t believe in God, so they have no protection from Him. They’re wide open to all curses and attacks.

2.) The target has weak faith in God vs. too much faith in witchcraft and its power (too much fear).

3.) The target is Christian, but walking in grievous sins. Witchcraft is allowed to succeed as a punishment to make them change their ways and reform.

4.) The target is Christian and faithful, but God allows Satan’s power to harm them to test their faith, like with Job. And if they, like Job, remain faithful to God throughout their torment, their strong faith will glorify GOD.

5.) Other reasons that serve God’s purposes and only He knows.

Now, whatever the witches think (because they likely have the wrong idea, but don’t know it), witchcraft works by the power of the devil. The power of the LORD is more powerful than any power of the devil, so witchcraft can only succeed if God chooses to allow it. The LORD’s power will break any curse He chooses to break, it’s the ultimate power.

We can see from these reasons above that those with no or weak faith are most vulnerable to witchcraft. Those who walk in sin (which also shows weak faith, in its own way) are quite vulnerable too. So while we can never be 100% safe, the best defense against witchcraft is to walk with the LORD in righteousness. Live virtuously. Forgive and bless all our enemies. It’s not easy by any means, but if we can do that, our best witchcraft defenses are activated.

The “Bounceback”

If you’re living righteously, and you have strong faith in the LORD, then you have strong witchcraft protection from Him. When a witch curses you or casts a spell at you, the first thing to do is to turn to the LORD for help. Pray for His protection. REPENT of your sins, reform your life and stop sinning. Then the next thing you do is … forgive and bless the witches! Go ahead and read that one more time! Yes, that’s right: When you’re suffering a witchcraft attack, you must forgive and bless the witches!

As for how this works, there’s a few things you need to remember that I’ve covered on my blog. Some principles of spiritual warfare. We don’t fight in the physical (Ephesians 6:12). We must turn the other cheek (Matthew 5:39), and love and pray for our enemies (Matthew 5:44). Revenge against those who wronged us is a luxury we can’t have (Romans 12:19).

Remember the words of Romans 12 on foregoing revenge (some of which is quoted from Proverbs 25):

(14) Bless people who harass you—bless and don’t curse them. […] (17) Don’t pay back anyone for their evil actions with evil actions, but show respect for what everyone else believes is good. […] (19) Don’t try to get revenge for yourselves, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath. It is written, “Revenge belongs to me; I will pay it back, says the Lord”. (20) Instead, “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink. By doing this, you will pile burning coals of fire upon his head”. (21) Don’t be defeated by evil, but defeat evil with good.

Romans 12:14, 17, 19-21 (CEB)

And the bit from Proverbs 25:

(21) If your enemies are starving, feed them some bread;if they are thirsty, give them water to drink. (22) By doing this, you will heap burning coals on their heads, and the LORD will reward you.

Proverbs 25:21-22 (CEB)

When under attack, if you turn to the LORD in repentance, reform you life and give up your sins, pray for His protection, and forgive and bless those working against you, the LORD will protect you from the witchcraft. That’s when things get ugly … for the witches!

Their spells will fizzle, their curses will rebound on them. Then their lives will start going down the tubes. Their bodies will be afflicted, their health will fail, their finances will plummet, bad luck and tragedy will befall them one after another. Whatever misfortunes they wished on you will happen to them. This is what happens when they attempt to curse a Virtuous man or woman under the LORD’s protection. All their evil bounces back on them.

You must forgive all the witches acting against you, whether you know them or not. Since witches almost always act in covens, the whole coven targets you. Since physical distance is no obstacle in the spiritual realm, where the witches work using Satan’s power, individual coven members can be scattered across the whole world. That’s a little rare, honestly, but it’s still possible. The point is, you may not know all the members of the coven targeting you, but pray forgiveness for them anyway. Pray forgiveness for anyone targeting you, and that will cover everyone.

Remember, you need to have strong faith in the LORD and much less faith in the witches’ power. Yes, they do have a power that comes from Satan. The witches do know some things about how to manipulate that power—though they are the ones who are being manipulated. But the LORD’s power is in a whole different category, there’s no competition, no comparison. The LORD’s power easily overcomes any power of Satan, including witchcraft of course.

So while witchcraft is real, does have some power, is satanic, and is something no one should get involved in, don’t worry about it too much. Most of all, don’t fear it. Relax and have faith in the LORD, He can keep you safe.

Pray against Altars

There’s another thing you can do when you’re praying for the LORD’s protection and forgiveness for the witches. An altar is an important part of witchcraft spells and rituals. They won’t look like the altars we’re used to seeing in church, because the witches’ altars are adorned with the things of their wicked craft. But these altars are where their most potent attacks against you in the spiritual realm (by which I mean spells and curses) begin.

So when you pray, pray against the altars arrayed against you, anywhere in the world. Pray for the LORD to unleash His angels against those altars. Pray for the LORD to knock the altars over, knock over the breakable objects (like crystals or statues), spill the liquids, and other things like that.

You won’t know where the altars are, but it’s OK. Remember that distance is no obstacle in the spiritual realm. God can strike wherever He pleases, if He chooses to. So pray against any altars arrayed against you, wherever in the world they might be. This is one more way to defend yourself for some extra protection.

Clean House

Another thing you should do is search your house for objects that might be witchcraft objects. Having these objects in your home gives the demons who carry out the witches’ spells access to your home. Removing these objects greatly hinders the demons who make spells and magic work.

Any occult items, any items from non-Christian religions, any icons, statues, or images of deities, spirits, mythical creatures, Mary, saints, angels, and so on. Good luck charms too. Any object that’s spiritual, but not Christian, could be inviting demons into your home like I said.

So when you go on the defense from witchcraft, take a spiritual inventory of your home. Are all the objects and images Christian? Throw away any occult objects you find. Pray to the Holy Spirit for the discernment to know what these are. Ask the Holy Spirit to knock them down, so you can see which ones they are.

Let’s look at a practical example. Let’s say suddenly you’re getting into fights with your wife or husband over stupid things. Every couple has their fights, but these fights are dumb. These fights start up out of nowhere, they get heated, and this keeps happening. One thing you can do here is think back, carefully. Has anyone given you or your wife/husband any gifts recently? Think of all the items one or the other person has received recently. A gifted item could be a part of a breakup spell targeting you and your spouse. Do these fights keep starting in the same room? Search that room. Search for any items that could fit the description.

This is only the first step to fighting the spell. You and your spouse will then need to turn to the LORD in prayer, as I described earlier. The breakup spell targeting you will not be allowed to succeed … as long as both of you turn to the LORD. If one person is committing adultery, for example, then the spell might be allowed to succeed because that could be for the best. Confess all sins to God and each other, and put an end to those sins. Then go through all the other steps.

Anyway, the point is that items can enable or empower the spells or curses. Be on the lookout for those, and remove them from your life. Throw them away.

Acknowledge, but Don’t Fear the Witch

I hope this post comes as good news to you. No power of the enemy will harm us (Luke 10:19)! No weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17)! Christians have the ultimate defense against witchcraft—the power of the LORD. We are safe from witchcraft as long as our LORD chooses to protect us. He may choose not to, possibly for one of the reasons above.

Don’t make the mistake of the Sadducees. Take witchcraft seriously, because it is real. It does have a power behind it: Satan. But don’t fear it. Let your faith in God be stronger than any fear. The more you fear it, the more it’s going to succeed against you. Make sure your faith is strong, you’re living righteously, and you communicate with God. Then you should be safe.

And if you do come under attack, you’ve got ways to defend yourself. Turn to the LORD! He will help you if you do what you need to do.
