Worrying does us no good, it doesn’t help us in any way. […] And when it comes to the end of the world, worrying about it only adds to the pain.

Previous End Times Post

Hello Readers, hope all’s well. Time for another post in the Do Not Fear the End Times series. Today’s post is about something I’ve said before, but that I probably haven’t been saying enough. I haven’t said this in awhile, so I felt it was time to say it again.

And that “something” is a very simple message: Don’t be afraid. Do Not Fear the End Times!

Today’s post touches on a few topics I’ve written about before on my blog. All are meant to give you hope and encouragement during these painful End Times. These topics include:

  • For Christians, physical death is nothing to fear, because we will go to be with Jesus
  • If we turn to Jesus now, He will help us, strengthen us, ease our fears, and forgive us our sins
  • If you’re scared, turn to Jesus … seek Him and you will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13)!
  • There’s no need to stress over the end of the world, because it must happen, so it will
  • There’s no need to be sad for the end of this fallen world, the new one will be unbelievably better

I’m Not here to Fearmonger

I blog about the End Times, the Second Coming, the end of the world, and so on. Many people find this subject scary, but it’s never been my intention to fearmonger! I’ve said that since all the way back in my first post.

Fear is of the enemy, and is his main tactic. The devil is the one who wants us to be afraid, and so he tries to instill fear in us through various methods. But our God did not give us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). Our God tells us not to be afraid.

God didn’t give us a spirit that is timid but one that is powerful, loving, and self-controlled.

2 Timothy 1:7 (CEB)

If I write about the End Times in a way that makes readers afraid, then I’m doing Satan’s work. I’m spreading fear, one of the devil’s greatest motivators. If any reader has ever felt afraid because of something I’ve written about the End Times and the imminent end of the world, then I apologize. I sincerely apologize. It wasn’t my intention to spread fear. It never is, in any of my posts.

It’s the opposite. I want to spread a message of hope that should make Christians less afraid. Because there’s one way out of this mess we’re in. There’s one way to be safe, to survive. To be saved.

If You’re Scared, Turn to Jesus

If you’re at all scared of the end of the world, I can understand, actually. This world is all we humans really know, so the thought of it being destroyed is scary. The idea of physically dying is scary for the terrible physical pain, and the idea of losing the world is scary for the fear of the unknown. What would happen after that?

Well there’s an answer, a light in the darkness here. And that’s Jesus, of course. If anyone is feeling scared of the end of the world, or scared of dying, then turn to Jesus. He will help you. It’s never too late to turn to Him, and He will forgive you of your sins if you put your full faith in Him and REPENT.

REPENT and give up the sins you’ve been walking in. Simply start by talking to Jesus. Tell Him you believe in Him, that you want Him to save you. Jesus is LORD. He can keep you safe from any demon, any power of the enemy.

If you’re scared of the End Times and the Great Tribulation, if you’re scared at how the Book of Revelation has so accurately predicted the current events of today, then turn to Jesus. He will strengthen you, and keep you safe.

Now mind you, we will all still physically die no matter what. But Jesus will keep us safe from the second death, eternal damnation. We will receive eternal life instead. That’s the free gift available to everyone. Think in the long-term. Think in the eternal-term. Any short-term, temporary physical pain we must experience will mean nothing once we receive our eternal life together with Jesus. Let’s keep our eyes set on that, on what really matters.

Physical death is unpleasant, but no Christian should be afraid of it. Dying here on earth means that we can rise to live together with our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ. What’s there to be afraid of then?

(28) Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body but can’t kill the soul. Instead, be afraid of the one who can destroy both body and soul in hell.

Matthew 10:28

If you’re scared about anything, turn to Jesus. Now is the time. “There is no condemnation to those in Christ” (Romans 8:1), which means that Jesus won’t hold our pasts against us when we turn to Him. He wipes the slate clean for us. He forgives us our sins if we put our faith in Him and confess (1 John 1:9).

(9) But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from everything we’ve done wrong.

1 John 1:9

There’s no sin that’s too great for Him to forgive. He is more powerful than any sin on the entire earth. He isn’t angry at you for sinning before, He knows your whole background and what drives you. He knows all your hurts and wounds, and He can heal them. He most definitely does not hate you for any of your sins. Again, there is no sin too great for Him to forgive. He is more powerful than all sin. I have another post on this topic on my blog, which you can read here.

Seek Him, and You Will Find Him

The important thing to know is that when you seek Jesus, He comes to you. He lets you find Him. You’ll understand that more as time goes on and you continue following Christ. But basically, the more you call on and interact with Him, the more He will interact with you. Seek Him, and you will find Him.

(13) When you search for me, yes, search for me with all your heart, you will find me.

Jeremiah 29:13 (CEB)

So if you’re scared, about anything, seek Jesus now. You will find him, and He will help you. He will strengthen and guide you.

[…] “The LORD is with you as long as you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you abandon him, he will abandon you.

2 Chronicles 15:2 (CEB)

The End Is Out of our Hands

Here’s another thing to consider. Why worry about something that’s completely out of our control? We aren’t the ones in charge here, God is. What He wills to happen will happen, and that’s it. There’s nothing we can do about it.

God’s plans can’t be stopped, altered, delayed, changed (by us), thwarted, or anything like that. There’s a lot of freedom that comes from giving up control and admitting we have no power in the situation. This is completely out of our hands. What are we going to do about it? God’s going to do what He intends to do.

All the tribulations plaguing the world right now remind me of Jesus’ words in Matthew 24. These tribulations are part of God’s plan. His intention.

(6) You will hear about wars and reports of wars. Don’t be alarmed. These things must happen, but this isn’t the end yet.

Matthew 24:6 (CEB)

“These things must happen.” Those are the words of Jesus Himself. In that case, what more do we need to do besides put our full faith in Him? We can put our faith in Him and relax, because we can’t stop what must happen.

Accepting that makes the idea of the end of the world much easier. We can’t do anything to stop it, so why worry about it? After all, didn’t Jesus Himself tell us not to worry about anything? Worrying does us no good, it doesn’t help us in any way. It only adds to the troubles we have today. And when it comes to the end of the world, worrying about it only adds to the pain.

(27) Who among you by worrying can add a single moment to your life?

Matthew 6:27 (CEB)

Besides, for those who believe in Jesus Christ with all their faith, there’s a promise of something so much better.

The World Done Right (Revelation 21)

God’s plan for the world is revealed in Revelation. Saving this world isn’t on His agenda. He’s going to destroy it, but that’s nothing we should be sad about. He’s going to make something new and better (Revelation 21).

(1) Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. (2) I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. (3) I heard a loud voice from the throne say, “Look! God’s dwelling is here with humankind. He will dwell with them, and they will be his peoples. God himself will be with them as their God. (4) He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more. There will be no mourning, crying, or pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Revelation 21:1-4 (CEB)

This world is fallen, corrupt to its core. It’s been this way ever since Adam and Eve were ejected from the garden, or ever since the Fallen Watchers descended to earth to corrupt humanity if you prefer the explanation from 1 Enoch. All the evils we suffer from today, hatred, poverty, inequality, you name it; all these evils exist because this is a fallen world. All this is due to the curse, a consequence of the fall.

In God’s new world, this will not be the case. God Himself will come down to the new earth to dwell with us. There will be no hatred, poverty, and so on. There will be no curse. The world will not be fallen anymore. ALL WILL BE GLORY!! Although we have a duty to try and fix our world, as I’ve said recently, God is the only one who can truly fix it.

So the end of this world is the end of a fallen world. There’s nothing wrong with that! This world must be destroyed so we can enjoy God’s new world, our true home. So don’t be sad or afraid for the end of this world. Rejoice and embrace it! The end of one thing is the beginning of another. This world is fallen. The end of the fallen world is the beginning of God’s true, uncorrupted vision for humanity.

I wrote about this extensively in Part 7 and Part 12. You can check out those posts for more.

Do Not Fear the End Times

Our God did not give us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). It’s never my intention to fearmonger on this blog. Fearmongering only helps the devil, because it spreads his most common weapon, which is fear. I speak honestly about the End Times here on my blog, but my message is one of hope and encouragement. I want readers to accept the seriousness of the situation and what’s coming our way, but also to take heart and be encouraged.

Do Not Fear the End Times! It’s not just the title of this blog series, it’s also the message I want readers to understand. There are many good reasons not to fear the End Times, including:

  • For Christians, physical death is nothing to fear, because we will go to be with Jesus
  • If we turn to Jesus now, He will help us, strengthen us, ease our fears, and forgive us our sins
  • If you’re scared turn to Jesus … seek Him and you will find Him (Jeremiah 29:13)!
  • There’s no need to stress over the end of the world, because it must happen, so it will
  • There’s no need to be sad for the end of this fallen world, the new one will be unbelievably better

I know I’ve said these things before on my blog. But it never hurts to repeat them. If I don’t communicate these messages of hope for the End times, then I’m doing a poor job. Do Not Fear the End Times! Everything’s going to be OK.

As things continue to get worse and worse in the world around us, keep the faith and have hope. Every painful day we suffer through gets us one day closer to His return. We’re almost there now. Just hold on a little longer.
